The main function of anti-decubitus cushions is the prevention of pressure ulcers through effective distribution and relief of pressure. They also favor the adoption of the appropriate posture and the possible benefits of facilitating good posture are innumerable: good skin integrity, comfort, safety, greater mobility, better self-help and independence functions, minimize pain and deformities, etc. In short, they stimulate the maintenance of health and prevent future disabilities. Share the pressures
The highest risk areas of eschar are where the pressures exerted on the tissues by the seat and the bone
they are maximum. The role of the anti-bedsore cushions is to reduce the pressures where they are greatest, distributing them in the most harmonious way possible on the surface of the cushion. Transferring pressure to lower risk areas allows for a reduction in maximum pressures and at the same time reduces the risk of decubitus ulcers.
The transfer of pressures to areas of lower risk in a cushion occurs thanks to:
• Use soft materials
• The elasticity of materials
• The increase in the contact surface with the seat.
• Reduction of friction

Reduce maceration
The humidity and the effects of maceration constitute a major factor in the appearance of eschar. The paper of the cushions
