In most cases, the hips and knees should be at the same height. Too low a seat may be discouraged (post hip surgery) and be uncomfortable to stand.
1. Measure the distance between the ground and the lower thigh, just behind the knee. This is the recommended height seat.
2. Measure the height of your current seat and subtract the first measurement.
3. The difference between the two measures is the required height booster seat. Get into the elevator with the closest match. The commercially available are 5, 10 and 15 cm.
