Effects:
Immobilization of the thumb metacarpophalangeal joints (posttraumatic and postoperative). Unwanted limits distal and proximal wrist (flexion-extension) and the radial and ulnar deviation movements.
Indications:
Tendinitis. Doloras and inflammatory sequelae. Instability of the metacarpophalangeal joints. Sports injuries (eg. Thumb skier). Irritations of the metacarpophalangeal joints. Trapeziometacarpal joint immobilization. (Rizarthrosis thumb).
