CREATE A DEVICE THAT ALLOWS ACCESS CONTROL COMPUTER FROM WHEELCHAIR

The Ring BJoy device appears as a USB device that can be installed without any modification to the wheelchair and supports inclination up to 45 degrees.

The Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) and BJ Adaptations company, dedicated to creating technologies focused on improving autonomy of people with disabilities, have created a new device that allows access to a computer from the command of the wheelchair.

The tool "becomes the 'joystick' of the wheelchair in a mouse" that allows the user to control the computer, incorporating the functions of cursor movement and pulsation, the UPC has informed in a statement.
