The Minister of Finance and Public Administration, Cristobal Montoro, has announced that the Government will launch a new provider payment plan for 2013, but this time will be linked to compliance with the directive of default, which agrees to pay suppliers in 30 days.

At a forum organized by the newspaper 'The Reason', explained Montoro still working to close the amount of the plan and said that the aim is to avoid the delay in paying bills because of funding problems that end up hurting the image negatively of Spain.

Montoro recalled that the 2012 plan had important macroeconomic consequences, and that helped keep at least 150,000 jobs directly, which has led the government to think of another plan for this year.

The government designed a plan of payment to suppliers endowed with EUR 27,000 million for 2012. Following the success of this plan, the Government decided to expand by more than 2,000 million.

According to Montoro, the new plan, linked to the regulationwill force all public administrations to pay in up to 30 days from its suppliers, will introduce an element of reliability.

To carry out the new plan, the government will have to amend existing legislation, but according to Montoro, it is an instrument "to hand" of the government to be used.

At the same time it launches this new plan, the minister of Finance has assured that the Government will continue to support the liquidity of the regions and local authorities, something "fundamental" to fulfill the terms of payment in time "as closely as possible."
